From Independence Hub to IH4JOBS: See the Skill, Not the Strange
We are changing our name from Independence Hub to IH4JOBS. This isn't a branding exercise; it’s a refocusing of our 501(c)(3) mission. We are here to improve the insurance industry by solving its most persistent talent gaps through the inherent power of neurodiverse teams.
To facilitate this, we are launching a free portal for job seekers, employers, and advocates. But we are not a job board or a social service agency. What makes IH4JOBS different in a world of transactions and labels is that we offer an ecosystem of shared respect and accountability.
How the Ecosystem Works
Our process is focused on the work, not the resume:
For Employers: We work directly with our Advisory Board to identify open jobs that the industry is currently struggling to fill. We replace standard interviews with task-based assessments and badges that allow you to "see the skill, not the strange.".
For Advocates: We collaborate to vet these roles, ensuring they are a match for neurodivergent cognitive strengths. We provide a platform where advocacy turns into actual career placement.
For Job Seekers: We provide a portal where your ability to do the task is the primary metric. You are not a charity case; you are the solution to a talent crisis.
Impact of the IH4JOBS Portal
The new portal integrates recruitment, education, and certification into a single source of truth.
Job Seekers can access a public-facing portal to find roles vetted for neurodiverse brains.
Employers can track "Manager Training Badges" to ensure their teams are ready to lead effectively.
Advocates gain a streamlined way to move candidates from training into active job pipelines.
Our Philosophy: Mission, Team, Me
We ask every participant in the IH4JOBS ecosystem to adopt a Mission, Team, Me attitude.
In this framework, the Mission (improving the insurance industry) and the Team (the collective effort to fill these roles) are always bigger than the individual. We expect everyone—from the hiring manager to the new hire—to focus on how they contribute to the success of the group. We are moving past labels and focusing on the shared accountability required to get the job done.
